Whether you’re travelling for a holiday, business trip, or volunteering abroad, protecting your health is essential.
Travel brings new experiences — and exposure to different diseases. Some countries require specific vaccinations before entry, while others are simply recommended for your safety.
Our pharmacists are trained to give you personalised, destination-specific advice based on your travel plans.
Why You Need Travel Vaccinations
Different parts of the world carry health risks that may not exist in the UK. Vaccinations protect you from serious infections that could ruin your trip or have long-term health consequences.
Common risks include:
-
Hepatitis A & B – spread through contaminated food, water, or blood contact
-
Typhoid – caused by bacteria in unsafe food and water
-
Yellow Fever – a mosquito-borne virus found in tropical regions (some countries require proof of vaccination for entry)
-
Tetanus, Diphtheria & Polio (Td/IPV) – found in many parts of the world
-
Rabies – transmitted through animal bites or scratches
-
Japanese Encephalitis – spread by mosquitoes in rural Asia and the Pacific
Getting vaccinated ensures you’re protected before exposure.
